Looks like I started something with the Gold Key thread, so I came back for more!

My wife included a copy of Alter Ego #19 in her latest "care package" to me here in Korea (great gal, ain't she?). I was STUNNED by the articles and gorgeous Fred Ray artwork on DC's Tomahawk !!

I could have sworn I'd seen a Tomahawk thread running on the Archive board a while back. All I can say is start the Tomahawk Archives series NOW!

Has anybody mapped this one out? According to the article, this series ran 22 years!

If this isn't collected, I just might have to spend some primo cash on these babies at conventions or online ...

DC! Don't force me to raid my kids' college funds! Start printing those Tomahawk Archives!

I'd like to do a Tomahawk map, but I'd need info for some of the later issues of Star Spangled Comics. The GCD is missing #119, 120, 123-126, 129 and 130.

This series would have my unqualified support.

I also think DC might be surprised how many non-comics readers might be interested in this series.

At my law office for instance the comics that get mentioned as childhood favorites are Batman, Sgt. Rock and Tomahawk.

The Revolutionary War angle was very appealing to a lot of readers.

And that Alter Ego article helps to point out why later issues were terrific.

I would like to see more of the earlier adventures as well.

I'd like to see an 80 Page Giant... they started promising us one since about '64 and i've got my quarter set aside!

And if the 80Pg'er does well, maybe they could fast track an Archive... maybe starting with #83 with the Rangers!

Actually, so would I, and it's a strip I never gave a second glance to as a kid.

Would Ted Turner write the intro? He likes the Tomahawk chop.

How were the later Hawk, son of Tomahawk stories? I seem to have missed them.

I'd buy it. The covers look great on some of the later books.

I would definitely pick this material up if it were to appear on the market. My Dad told me he read Tomahawk as a kid, along with Blackhawk. Here's hoping that the folks at DC will publish Tomahawk in an archive so I can enjoy Dad's Christmas present as I did with the Blackhawk archive.

Among Silver Age and slightly earlier potential Archives, in fact, some of the ones I'd most enjoy seeing, I suspect, are features that I either ignored completely (Tomahawk, Rex the Wonder Dog, Mark Merlin), or that I read perhaps a couple issues of and then dropped (Rip Hunter, Sea Devils, War That Time Forgot).

I read Tomahawk toward the end of its run, with art by Frank Thorne, and covers by Neal Adams. As usual, with my voracious appetite for comics, the problem back in those days was distribution. When I saw Tomahawk comics, I bought them.
